We have three games scheduled at Stonehouse field this weekend. We are looking at more wet weather heading into mid-week and beyond. Make sure you are following the pre-game protocol. You should be contacting opposing coaches asap and officials through Arbiter. It is important that you have a back up plan for the weekend. If we get a small amount of rain, the field should be fine. However, if we get a significant amount, the field will not be safe to play on and you will have to cancel. You do have an option, since it is early in the week, to see if you opponents have a turf field you could move the games to and take and guess work out of the weekend. This would need to be asap in order to get approval in time.
When contacting the opposing coaches and officials please send them the following information:
Enter Rancho Murieta North off Highway 16 (Jackson Rd) on Murieta Parkway. Visitors must register at the Security Gate. Once you enter the gates go straight and turn left on Lago Dr. - go until Pera Dr. turn right, then turn left at Escuela Dr. you will see the park, turn right on the first road and go all the way back it is behind the baseball fields.
The field box, table and chairs will be behind the wall near my from door. The field box contains the clock, score display, air-horn, ice packs, corner pylons and a few game ball. If you are the first game of the day, you (or someone from your team) are responsible for picking up the gear and setting up the field. If you are the last game of the day, it is your responsibility (or someone from your team) to brake the field down and return the equipment to my house.
I will have Barbara send out the Arbiter instruction in a follow up email.
Beginning the first of April, all teams will be practicing at Stonehouse Park. Everyone will be able to remain on their current days, but we may have to move a few times. Varsity and High School Girls should be able to work around every ones current schedule. I will firm things up by next week.
If you are practicing on a Friday, please use the big field. I have made Summerfest field available to another youth sports program on Fridays. Additionally, please hit me with a text or email if you want to hold an practice outside your pre-designated day and time. Most of the time there shouldn't be an issue, just keep me in the loop.
Picture day is March 26th at Mather Field. We only have the field from 4:00 to 6:00 so get the information out to parents early. We need the kids and coaches at Mather as close to 4:00 as possible.
Beginning the first of April, all...
After consulting RMA maintenance, Saturday afternoon is the best time to paint the field. I would like to start at 3:00 and will have an ice chest with cold beverages for anyone that is willing to help. Let me know. Thanks.
I finally looks like we are moving into a drier pattern. I was beginning to think it wasn't going to happen, but I am an going to open up the Rancho Murieta fields this week. With time change and the warmer weather predicted, the fields should firm up pretty fast. If you are on Stone house this week, please look for the dryer portions of the field. the area near the parking lot is not in the game field of play so that is a good start. Make sure you are moving around the field for repetitive drills. I will be in contact with RMA maintenance and inquire if they will be able to get a mower on the both fields this week.
Varsity is the only team with a home game this weekend and I would like to get the field stripped. We need about 5-6 people to get it done in a timely manner. I would like to try and do it Friday afternoon if enough people are available. I know many of you have games Saturday and that will be option #2. Let me know if you or a parent from your team are available to help. I would like to start around 2:00 if possible.
Here is what I have for this week.
Summerfest Field: (make sure you lock the gate when you leave please)
